Tips for Making the Bedtime Routine Easier (Part 2/4):
•Decide on some Ground Rules: Both parents and children should know what the rules are before the bedtime routine starts. Depending on the age of your child, some rules could be no getting out of bed once we put you in, you may get up one time to go to the bathroom, you must sleep in your own bed, no playing with toys once the lights are out, or you may read for 30 minutes by yourself. If rules are broken, redirect your child back to the task at hand. Make sure the rules are clear and applied consistently!
