Tip Tuesday! My Child is Careless in the Community (3/4)

Posted on November 17th, 2015

While your child is still learning how to be safe in the community, it is important for you to establish very specific rules that cue your child into what is expected of them. This could mean they need to hold your hand at all times, remain seated in the cart, or hold on to your purse or the cart while you walk. Lots of parents struggle with keeping their kids safe in a parking lot while they unload the rest of the car. We recently came across the Parking Pal which is a magnet you put on your car and you teach your child that they need to keep their hand on it at all times to stay safe!
