Behavioral Services

We provide applied behavior analytic (ABA) services to children, parents and educators impacted by autism, other developmental disorders, and neurodiverse populations.  Our programs are rooted in scientific principles and are designed to quickly build skills while addressing problem behaviors and to provide tools to parents to handle whatever comes up! Our approach focuses on identifying the skills missing or in need of strengthening to help the child succeed in their natural environment. We believe in a trauma-informed, assent-based approach to ABA to honor, value, and celebrate a child’s individuality, personality, preferences, and goals that are actually important to them! We believe there is no “one size fits all” and utilize a variety of assessments and curriculums to teach our children the way they learn best, including: Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), the Inventory of Good Learner Repertoires (IGLR), the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS-R), the Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS), PEAK Relational Training, VB-MAPP, Skillstreaming, and more!

We primarily serve pre-school aged children (aged 0-6) in our clinic location in Skokie, Il. We are in-network with most major private insurances (we do not currently accept Medicaid or other state-funded policies) which generally cover services with an autism diagnosis. We are open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm.

The general process for enrolling is to speak with our Service Coordinator to make sure ABS Behavioral Services is a good fit for your child. Then, we check your insurance benefits to make sure ABA is a covered service and that we are in-network. Next, a BCBA conducts an assessment and develops a treatment plan addressing the skills and behaviors in need of change to make a meaningful impact on your child’s life. Finally, ongoing therapy can begin!
