Tip Tuesday: Afraid of the Dark Angst (Post 5/5)

Posted on December 29th, 2015

Do Not Support Imaginary Creatures

You may have good intentions by providing “monster spray” to help elevate your child’s fear of monsters under the bed but it may in fact reinforce your child in thinking monsters are real.  Additionally, it may also delay the bedtime routine.

Signs It Might Be Something More

You may want to consult your child’s doctor if the fears and anxiety seem to be more severe, getting worse, or if your child’s fears began after a known traumatic experience.

Try these out and let us know what you think!
