Tip Tuesday! Dining Out is a Disaster! (Post 3/5)

Posted on September 15th, 2015

Pick kid-friendly restaurants:

We know that at some point every parent gets tired of eating cheeseburgers and chicken nuggets but your kids probably never do! When selecting restaurants for your family meal, consider those that cater to kids. How can you tell?

  • Kid’s area, crayons and paper, video games
  • Louder ambience
  • Bigger restaurants
  • Tables that are more spaced out without table linens
  • Restaurants that have nightly specials that include kid deals (kids eat free every Monday)
  • Window shop- Start observing restaurants where you see families eating

As a rule of thumb, pick fast food restaurants first. This allows your child to practice appropriate behaviors at a restaurant without that pesky wait! Once you have success begin expanding to sit down restaurants.
